722.9 Conductor Plate Unlock Service
Beckmann Technologies, Inc. is now able to provide unlocking services for 722.9 valve bodies and plates. This means that historically useless transmissions, valve bodies, and TCUs can now be made serviceable again. Although the preferred method of putting these parts back into service would be to use new electronic plates Mercedes continues to refuse the sale of these components outside their dealer network leaving our industry no other choice but to reuse the old ones.
At this time it is only possible to unlock the Version-2 units (these are the most common). But expect the version 3 soon too. They can be identified in the following pictures:

Please observe the following procedure when getting your plates unlocked:
- First it is very important that the plates be re-installed in the same valve body, using the same solenoid valves replaced in the same locations! If you mix up the valves or mix and match the valve bodies unpredictable transmission operation may be experienced. It is assumed that people doing this work practice acceptable procedures of cleaning and removing any contamination on the components, especially the screens of the solenoid valves.
- Send us only the cleaned plate. If we receive an oil soaked unit there will be an additional cleaning charge of $25 and may delay return of your unit.
- Once the unit is re-installed in the valvebody/transmission you will need to SCN and immobilizer code. If you need coding assistance you can contact the team at www.bluelinkdiag.com for programming assistance.
- We will only do some basic testing of the plates so you need to be sure the units you send are indeed serviceable.
- Cost to unlock the units is $250 and includes return UPS ground freight.
- We are working on adding this service to the BlueLink remote BDS2534 service which would allow us to unlock the plates for you directly over the internet saving shipping here and back.
